What is an ASHI inspection? The American Society of Home Inspectors is the oldest and most respected association of profesional home inspectors in the country. It is recognized as the authority in the home inspection field. As consumers, you need to know that, unlike many other professionals, there is no state licensing for building inspectors. Unfortunately, this means anyone can call themselves a home inspector with absolutely no background, training, or knowledge in the field. ASHI inspectors receive extensive training, continued education, and their inspection reports must pass rigorous guidelines set by the association. With an ASHI inspector, you know you are getting the most detailed and complete inspection.
